I have a strange interest in glasses. No, I do not obsess and collect frames. Rather, I can take a character's faults if they happen to look good in glasses. I also carry a pair myself, and can't live without them for a second. I do not like the idea of contacts - I rather not stick a finger in my eye, thank you.

Though I do not read much, I am always inspired by intellectual criticalism and symbolism. One in particular is Lord of the Flies, by George Golding, which reveals the true nature of mankind in many ways. A mix of symbolism through expressive ideas - I wish modern works would follow the classics' examples. Instead, we are stuck with titles like Twilight. Ugh. Video games also hold a similiar art, such as the deep Silent Hill series (the second game in particular), which brings a cruel world to the eyes of the deceived.

My love for video games will always prevail over any other media-based interests. I suppose "being" part of the action is what grasps me more than simply watching it. I like the feeling of escape from reality by playing video games. I don't play 294739437 games like others do, but I do have some collection of them. We started out with a lot of Nintendo ones since we have to play kid-friendly due to my little sister. Recently, we are moving on the Teenager and Mature titles (I have to hide the mature games though). I don't have a particular favorite genre. I play a lot of JRPGs, but it's not technically my favorite. It all depends on my mood at the time. My all-time favorite series are varied in genre - Mario (Platformer/multiple others), Tales (JRPG), Guilty Gear (2D Fighting), and recently Silent Hill (Survival Horror). And there are plenty more that fill the rest of the gaps.

Sadly, I do not use the television as often as I used to. I mainly glance over the news, or watch sitcoms just for the laughs and not for the flavor. I also like to watch crime drama shows like Law and Order, for some unknown reason. Perhaps because they expose the faults of man everyday... or perhaps I just like the suits and coffee?

I am never a movie-follower. I usually do not have the time or money to watch the usual blockbuster hits. Although, much in my youth involved animated films. Even now, some of my favorite movies were animated. Perhaps combining gorgeous art with a touch of fantasy, humor, and music that real life can't fully bring out is what keeps me in check. Although I have many favorites, I personally still find my heart fluttering with The Road to El Dorado (tied with Dreamworks' Prince of Egypt as well), mainly for the laugh and the moving theme of friendship.
