Sol-Aria.ORG began on April 4th 2008... and then was going nowhere. I had already owned and maintained Rurushu.net. However, as the time came to renew the domain, I grew slightly restless of the name. When I saw the name Sol-Aria.org available, I knew I just had to grab it - it was a perfect domain name. I merely registered it only to reserve the name, so I didn't think of what I was going to do with it. After some discussion with friends, I decided to make it into a personal collective, since my other domain focused more on anime/manga and video game sites.the name
Sol-Aria.Org - Around that time, I was in a slight Guilty Gear mood (since I was working on Heaven's Not Enough at that time). When I was researching on one of the novels Lightning the Argent (which, of course, I was unable to find much on), I recalled one of the protagonist's name - Solaria. From what I recalled about her, she was a disabled child on a wheelchair, whom Ky would visit and take care of. The drugs she used to treat her disability, however, contained Gear cells, so she lost control of her powers, and Ky saves her. Solaria's disability a bit relates to my own. Not to mention, it was a beautiful name, and since I was a bit tired of my "japanese" sounding domain, I wanted to use this one. Sadly, solaria.org and solaria.net was already taken (and frankly, anything else would sound silly). I then decided to break up the name, like some people do when they can't register their favorite thing - when I came to a sudden discovery. Breaking down Solaria into 'Sol' and then 'Aria', I just realized that they both share the name of people within the series (hell, a practical couple). Sol is obviously referenced to Sol Badguy and Aria... well, I shouldn't spoil Overture for some people, but she is a HUGE signficance to Sol. And together, they make another character in the series. So for the awesome discovery, I decided to use this name. The Uncrowned Archives - I was originally going to give the site its own name, not the whole "network" rule thing. However, after some thought, I decided upon a title name. No point in so much thought over the simple fact that it's a personal archive. Uncrowned means that it's nothing really big, or nothing worth medals or awards, like something crowned. Yeah, I have pretty low self-esteem there.
ೋ Not-so FAQs
1. Hey! How come I can't affiliate with you?Either you didn't follow my guidelines into what I affiliated, or I forgot to add you.
2. Could you host me?
I have plenty of space I don't even need. If I know you, then definetly yes. If not, then no. I'll only do it if you have potential talent, as I was in that same position before my domain. I'll soon make a hosting page if I'm truly opening myself up to hosting. Email me if you want to persuade me.
3. You're pretty good. Can you make me an icon/layout/homework?
If I know you, maybe. I'm not generally nice to requests, since I'm usually taken advantage of.
4. Why don't you update more often?
Try dealing with my real life, and see you do that so easily.
5. Can I be your friend?
As much as I appreciate the request, I wish not to have emails asking me to be their friend (or join their forum, both which has happened). I'm not talkative at all, but if you have similar interests to me, maybe. But not enough to email, please, just my livejournal account. I also have no messaging.
